Dealing with Stress to-and-from WorkPosted April 4, 2008, 12:59 PM by grace
My trip to work involves driving over the Sagamore Bridge. When I hit Rte. 6 the drive becomes WILD! Cars zoom down the left lane SO fast the 55 mile an hour signs are a blur. Lately, since there've been State troopers under every bridge and behind every bush, I've begun listening to mellow jazz while driving in the right-hand lane and slowing down at entrance ramps, since cars shoot out of there like they've been shot out of cannons. Not only has my stress level been lowered, but by staying at 55 miles an hour I'm getting three days from half a tank of gas instead of two. Plus, I get to work on time in a mellow mood and ready for a stress-free day no matter what's thrown my way. I'm not even stressed when I pull into a gas station anymore. Well, not AS stressed.
